Obituary for Mildred Stowers

Mildred  Stowers
Mildred Stowers, 77, of Dawsonville passed away Friday May 10, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born May 17, 1935 in Hall County to the late Herbert E. and Clara Bell Dill, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. An accomplished seamstress, she was formerly employed at Sweet-Orr and worked for Russells Athletic Wear until her retirement. Mrs. Stowers also did sewing for the public. Mildred was a member of Etowah Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elton Stowers; son, David Stowers; and a brother, J. C. Dill.
Surviving are her children, Deborah and Tommy Freeman, Regina and Frank Kreischer, Tim and Rebecca Stowers, all of Dawsonville; brother and sisters in law, Edwin and Nancy Dill, Murrayville, Carolyn Dill, Gainesville; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Monday May 13, 2013 at 11 o’clock at Etowah Baptist Church. Rev. C. B. Martin, Rev. Ronald Pruitt, and Rev. Phillip Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday after 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
