Obituary for Lynn Burks Cohran

Lynn Burks Cohran, 58, of Riverdale, GA passed away Monday October 21, 2013 at her residence following a sudden illness.
Born February 6, 1955, she was a 1973 graduate of North Clayton High School and retired from Georgia Lighting after over 20 years of service. Lynn possessed a love for the outdoors, was an avid camper and enjoyed spending time at the beach. She was preceded in death by her father, William Thomas “Dub” Burks.
Surviving are her mother, Barbara Burks, Dawsonville; sisters and brothers in law, Julia and Harry Martin, Rockledge, FL, Bobbie and Brooks McCord, Cumming; brothers and sisters in law, Richard and Gayle Burks, Whitesburg, Paul and Cindy Burks, Dawsonville, Walter and Melanie Burks, Douglasville; close nephew, Daniel Burks and his wife Elisa; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives
Memorial services will be held Monday October 28, 2013 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. William “Bill” Scarbrough will officiate.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
