James Barnick Sr., age 73 of Dawsonville, GA passed away Sunday April 28, 2019 following an extended illness. Jim was born January 17, 1946 and was raised in North Haven, CT by Joseph and Virginia Barnick. He is survived by 6 children, 16 grandchildren, and his loving wife of 36 years, Vicki Renea Barnick. Jim was a devoted husband and father and supported his family as an over the road truck driver, which he was very passionate about. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement where he was able to spend time with his family, going fishing with his son, and dreaming of classic car restorations. Jim was a generous giver and had such a big heart for others. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
The family of James Barnick Sr. will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday May 3, 2019 at Bearden Funeral Home in Dawsonville, GA. There will be a memorial service held in the Chapel at Bearden Funeral Home immediately following the visitation from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m.
