Obituary for Gerard A. "Jed" Lacey

Gerard A. "Jed"  Lacey
Gerard A. “Jed” Lacey, 58, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday August 12, 2017.
Better known as Coach Lacey, Jed followed his passion to coach and motivate the youth of Dawson County. He dedicated his life in mentoring youth to reach their full potential as a person, as a student, a team member and improving the community around them.
Coach Lacey is survived by his wife of 23 years, Charlotte Lacey and their daughter Fallon. In addition to immediate family, Coach Lacey is survived by numerous students he coached and mentored throughout his career. Fellow coaching staff and faculty Jed considered members of his extended family.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday August 19, 2017 at 2 o’clock at the Dawson County Performing Arts Center. Rev. Brody Hughes and Rev. Chad Rogers will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the GoFundMe account set up in his memory.
