I am so very sad to hear of Miss Harben’s passing. She was not only my very special teacher in high school, but became a very dear friend after graduation. She was thrilled that I went to North Georgia College, her own Alma Mater, and sent me letters & care packages while I was there. She was special to my whole family, & visited my parents on numerous occasions. She loved her Georgia Bulldogs and had many lively “discussions” with my husband, A Tech fan. He grew to love her as well. I visited her several times at Lanier and even though she didn’t know me, we had great talks about times at Jackson County High School, her beloved Dawsonville, her dearly loved parents and her family. I know she touched the lives of many of her students.......she certainly impacted mine in a very positive way. May God rest her soul.
