Spencer Turner, 51, of Cumming passed away Monday September 23, 2013 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born July 14, 1962 in Columbus, Georgia, he had lived in Forsyth County for the past 8 years. Mr. Turner was an engineer with Byers Engineering specializing in communications. He had worked in many areas of the United States and the Virgin Islands. Spencer was preceded in death by his father, William R. “Bob” Turner.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Turner, Cumming; mother, Frances Turner, Social Circle; brothers and sisters in law, Stephen Darrow and Marlene Turner, Newnan, Paul and Cheryl Turner, Social Circle; several stepchildren, grandchildren and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Friday September 27, 2013 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Eric Watson will officiate.
The family will receive friends Friday beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
